Who else has been praying for Karolina Laskowska to make full-bust items? I am sure it’s not just me. I remember dreaming about her lingerie without being able to afford her customs services. As a full-busted woman, I haven’t had much hope for luxury erotic lingerie to come in my size or to even fit me. Erotic lingerie is either very versatile but super cheap looking or very expensive but stops at an E cup. At least, that is the way I used to see it.
[I received this set as a gift. Harlow and Fox didn’t require a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own]
It’s funny, you know. Why do I need erotic lingerie if I don’t wear it for my lovers? Well, because I love myself in it. Also, who wants a 300$ bra being mistreated by clumsy horny hands? That really just is what it is. Feeling like a billion dollars for my own pleasure. The Aurora collection is everything I want in such a lingerie set. I was originally into the black colorway, which honestly is to die for but when I was planning my “Valentine day” editorial , this particular colorway drew my attention. It was quite different from any red set I had seen before. For me, it is not really a red set actually. The embroidery thread is red but because the base mesh is beige, the set overall looks almost pink. I love the silk satin and silk elastic accents in this set. The gold hardware is definitely completing this shiny effect.
Harlow & Fox and Karolina Laskowska is definitely a duo made in heaven: both brands taking inspiration from vintage glamour with and taking luxury to a different level… I am so glad I got to own a bit of their work.
Sizing and fit
If you haven’t tried Harlow & Fox before, you must know their sizing is pretty consistent. I didn’t know much about Karolina’s since I only bought harnesses and chokers from her but I knew I could easily go with my usual H&F size. Now the trick is that this collection has a flexible sizing. The bra I got is supposed to fit 30G / 32FF / 34F / 36E busts. Because of that I thought being a 30FF-G wouldn’t allow me to get a perfect fit.
Indeed, the band is a bit big for me and the wires are a bit wide but the cup being unpadded makes the fit definitely more versatile. I wonder if I could have worn a 30FF actually. The straps and band are adjustable which is definitely great. One thing I noticed is the high quality of the material used for these parts of the set. It’s beautiful!
The coordinates are too lovely! This tanga brief is just so delicate and sexy, the cut is super flattering and the lace is incredible. I usually don’t like thin straps on the sides but they actually fit so well. The size Small is perfect for me.
Now, about the suspender… Man, I wanted a 12 straps suspender for so long! Turned out I am probably a bit too thin for the Small version. I will get it altered as soon as the Covid19 situation calms down. I really really love this piece. It’s unique. The daintiest deep suspender made to hold your stockings even when the day gets busy and you have to run to catch your bus. I just love it.
The attention to detail is so gorgeous. The pearl pendant at the gore of the bra, the center front of the suspender and brief is a luxurious signature detail. Honestly, this is lingerie you want to enjoy, discover and re-discover. I don’t get tired of looking at it and I am definitely wanting more of this intricate lace.
Honestly, this is pure luxury. You don’t need it, you probably won’t use it everyday, but if you possess it you feel fulfilled by the beauty of its existence.
What do you think of open cup bras? Have you ever tried an unpadded one?
Yours truly,
Wen
