Avocado is one of the brands I love the most, and I am sure this doesn’t come as a surprise. I love their quality, fit but most of all I like their consistency. It’s been a while since I haven’t talked about their products but they have been in my everyday rotation for the past 3 years. I like the accuracy of their size range and how they make several cuts for each collection in order to accommodate different breast shapes.

Today’s review is about their Avocado Dalida range that came out last Summer. Aesthetically it’s different from the brand’s usual lace and embroidery designs. Dalida is both more minimalistic and more extra. I know this is kind of an oxymoron but it’s the way I see this design. The opaque microfiber of the cup is adorned with hand-printed moths and the gold hardware matches them perfectly.
On the back, the brand added four straps meeting around a big gold ring. This detail gives a nice touch to this design that could otherwise have been a more simple everyday bra.
I must say that the material used for this set is very comfortable and pleasant to wear. It’s soft but strong and has great uplifting power. Moreover, the tulle used for the sheer parts is more delicate than what I have seen from Avocado before. It’s very transparent and fine.
Fit and sizing
I am currently a 30FF/30G in UK sizing. For the past year (maybe a bit more), I have been wearing a 60H** in Avocado and I found this size to be pretty adaptable to my size fluctuations. As you can see on these pictures, my breasts fill the cup perfectly and the narrow wires sit nicely around my breast roots. This bra is made to last and has supported me during my most hectic days. I just love a good reliable bra that is also nice to show off if I am in the mood to show my back. Avocado Dalida is amazing for my full on bottom and side breasts. The top of the cup is elasticated which helps with my asymmetry.
**The fact that I am wearing a 60 back in Avocado doesn’t mean that their back run big. I simply prefer the lenght of the wires that come with the 60 bands more than the ones that come with the 65 bands. The coordinate I received is a hipster brief and I love this shape. I have to say that it’s a very practical brief. The back is full coverage but this is nicely balanced by the sheer parts at the side of this piece. Avocado Dalida is different and I love that it is modern, practical and well-fitting. Everyday luxury. I would suggest that you don’t leave it for too long in the water when washing it by hand, in order to preserve the shine of the hand-printed moths.
What do you think of this new range?
Yours truly,
Wen
