Summer is officially over, here in Montreal, and I am having flashbacks of a warmer, more predictable environment. In July, I had the opportunity to shoot some Belle de Nuit lingerie and swimwear and had a very positive experience with the fit of this brand. I thought I would share it here with you guys as I know it’s always a bit complicated to order custom lingerie especially with you are full busted.

[I received this set as a gift from Belle de nuit. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Photo credit: DTC photography]Belle de Nuit Stoya & NoeliaBelle de nuit is a US lingerie label created by an Iranian/Ashkenazi designer. Their aesthetic is very retro-inspired and the silhouettes often involve high leg cuts. Judging by the depth of their necklines, I initially thought this brand was mostly targetting small bust customers. However, when I connected with the designer, she seemed pretty confident that she could create nice pieces that would fit me too!

She offered to send me a set and I picked the Stoya and Noelia set. I was attracted by the big metal rings and the removable garters straps coming out of the bralette. Plus, the fact that it was a longline bralette also increased the chance that my breasts would fit into it. This set looks both comfy and really cool. I hoped it fit me as well as it did the model.

Belle de Nuit Stoya & NoeliaThe Stoya bralette is a longline triangle bralette. It has a very plunging neckline but no seams in between the “cups”. I usually don’t like having a vertical seam on each cup pf my bralettes but on this one, it works very well. I don’t get any weird shape from it.
The Belle de Nuit Stoya bralette doesn’t have hooks and eyes opening. You really have to pass it through your head and shoulders.
However, it works amazingly well this way. The back features a strappy racerback made of elastics and one big metal ring. For some modesty reason, I didn’t feel like showing the back of the set but you can definitely have a good idea of it from the website.
After trying two custom made products from this designer, I can say that the fit was spot on. I was really worried about how my projected breasts would do with this plunge bralette but it really worked for me. The jersey is very stretchy but still firm enough to hold things into place when the suspenders are tied to something. The back straps are also adjustable which helps a lot to get the right fit.
Now, it is true that when I don’t use the garter straps, I get much more nip slips and my breasts move more easily with the rest of my body’s movements. This bralette isn’t the most secure option if you want to wear it without these straps considering that they help a lot with the “longline” effect. This gives more space and coverage to your breasts.

I expected to receive the Noelia brief but I actually received a thong. To be honest I am not a fan of this particular cut. I don’t find it to be flattering on my bodyshape, which also explains why I didn’t want to show back pictures for this post. However, it looks very good on the brand’s model.
Nevertheless, I like the concept of this set and the coordinate works really well in that aspect. I love that you can use the garters and link them to the thong’s rings. It makes me feel so badass, haha! Also, the fact that all these straps are adjustable is pretty amazing. I didn’t know what to expect when I was waiting for the set to arrive, simply because I never allowed myself to wear anything similar, but I am positively surprised by this set.

The brand isn’t fit-focused but the designer is definitely offering a beautiful product made to your measurements. I love that Belle de Nuit creates custom pieces in every size and features different types of people on their Instagram page. It is a small business with a beautiful identity: empowering, sexy and a bit witchy. I loved trying their work and I can’t wait to see what the future brings them.

Love always,
